Originally developed by Propellerheads Software back in 1998, it first showed up in Propellerheads ReBirth RB-338 and Steinberg’s Cubase VST—allowing the two programs to seamlessly play together. Wow, how far we’ve come since then! ReWire 2 is the most current version, working cross-platform on anything from MacOS9/MacOSX to X/Win98, NT, 2000 and XP.
